A New Me

A New Me

Hello friends,

Welcome to 2017, a new year that promises to be far better compared with previous years.

Previous years have come and gone with their disappointments; particularly with resolutions, goals, visions and dreams. However, this New Year promises a new slate for a new You.

I recently heard someone describe a new year as a new empty book whose pages you are responsible for feeling with the decisions and choices you make. In other words, you have the responsibility of writing and determining how your year will be. It is totally up to you the conclusion you want to see at the end of this book.

This month being the first month in this New Year, we will be starting by learning about A New You; preparing you to be the best you you can be this year.

One thing that dazzles me is how easy it is to make resolutions every year, self-promises at the beginning of every year, dos and don’ts for the year and at the end of it all, we are right back at where we started, no progress, no change, we still remain the same persons.

At a point in my life, I realised that the me that I saw seemed so far from me, I really had no idea how long it would take me to get there.

Many of us got into this year with quite a number of resolutions, mistakes we made in 2016 which we would not like to repeat, stuffs we did not like which we would like to improve on. To many of us 2017 is the year to be better, to reach our full potentials; to many of us, it is a year of a new person doing things differently and achieving results we could not achieve in previous years.

It is really not entirely about how well you start which is really important, but how well you are able to sustain what you have started matters even much more. New challenges will rise trying to stop you from being the person you really want to be but you must make up your mind not to give up, you really must make up your mind to cross the finish line, finishing strong.

Remember, your conclusion at the end of this year starts from here and now.

Make sure you follow our posts this month and don’t forget to share with someone.

We really appreciate your support throughout 2016 and we are looking forward to much more in 2017.

We also encourage guest writers to contribute to this blog. If you are interested, please send a mail to us at buildthealtar@gmail.com.

Thank you and have a beautiful year ahead of you.

You Are Never Alone.

  1. Sometimes keeping resolutions is not that easy to keep or maintain for a year, the first month may have our strongest input but there comes a time when work, family, relationships will come and then snatch whatever input meant for upholding our resolutions as we progress further in the year. The best bet to keeping resolution’s is to tell someone you trust dearly be it a loved one, mentor or friends that would not give up on you no matter what 2017 throws at you.

We would love to hear what you have to say...
