Working Profitably

This year, we must learn to transfer our “working hard” into “working profitably”. One way to achieve this is by being creative and innovative. Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. It involves two processes; thinking, then producing. If you have ideas but don’t act on them, you’re imaginative but not creative. Innovation on the other hand is the act or process of introducing new ideas, devices, or methods to a business, government or society.

As young adults and future leaders, let us devote serious effort to ensuring a bright and conducive future for ourselves and generations under us by being creative and innovative. The question is “how can we be creative and innovative?”Especially in this part of the world where there seems to be little or no opportunities for the youths. Actually, there are numerous opportunities than we can imagine, only that our eyes are not open to them.

Firstly, research on the environment around you. Identify what is lacking in that environment that is related to your field of study, which when provided would improve the standard of living in that environment.

Secondly, network- meet people with different ideas and perspective.

Thirdly, devise a strategy that will help in inventing what the environment needs and make you stand out from the crowd and get noticed.

Lastly, not forgetting the One who gives wisdom liberally. James1:5,”if any of you lacks wisdom let him/her ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him/her”. Put God first in all your endeavours and you’ll be outstanding.

When you are creative and innovative, you will become a great personality. You will be a blessing to the nation, you will be a world changer and you will bring glory to God.

On a final note, it is only God who can help us in becoming positive world changers. He says in His word that without Him we can do nothing, all things will be possible for us if we abide in Him (John15:4-5). You can only abide in Him when you accept Jesus into your life. You need to believe He died to take away everything that is not of Him in you. He was buried, and He rose on the third day (Romans 10:9). And the power that raised Christ from the dead is alive in us to make us creative and innovative (Romans8:11). GOD BLESS!

Every man has a purpose in life. Ours is to help people discover, rediscover and fulfill their purpose. We believe that the young generation are the building blocks and foundation of the next new thing the world is about to experience.
