#31DaysWithTheAnchor – Day 19
Topic: Rejoicing in the Anchor
Meditate: Romans 14:17
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Relationship with the anchor is a joyful one. One filled with peace, content, and rejoicing. Having the assurance of the anchor’s stability in your life is and should always be a source of joy.
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.
In all things, the assurance that the anchor never slacks on his promises is another source of joy. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:2.
Sometimes with external circumstances, it’s not so easy to remain joyful or rejoicing and for sure, we all go through times like that but what are you to do in such situations? Hold on tight! Keep reminding yourself of the anchor’s stability regardless of what the storm looks like, keep reaffirming the promises from the anchor, not as an attempt to beg for saving from doom but to remind yourself of the victory that has already been won even in the doom
