#31DaysWithTheAnchor – Day 16

Topic: Believing the anchor
Meditate:

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

We’ve talked about how we’re supposed to know, trust, seek, the anchor and now it’s about believing the anchor. It’s about accepting who the anchor says you are and living it out. As seen in the theme text, the anchor has empowered you, depositing in you his Spirit of might, wisdom, understanding.

“The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”

Isaiah 11:2.

As such, it is your place to embrace this gift and declare strength, power, wisdom, counsel in every affair of your life, be it emotions, finances, business, whatever comes your way.

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;”

I Peter 2:9

The anchor chose you to be his very own, this should erase every form of doubt concerning his love for you or insecurity concerning your identity in him. If you truly trust the anchor, if you truly trust his love for you, then you’d believe and accept what he says about you, irrespective of what the world says, irrespective of how situations seem to be, irrespective of who you think you are.

Task for the day

Looking through the Bible, take note of who you are in Christ and intentionally live it out.

DeAltar

Every man has a purpose in life. Ours is to help people discover, rediscover and fulfill their purpose. We believe that the young generation are the building blocks and foundation of the next new thing the world is about to experience.
