I Choose Love Over Lust

As soon as she walked in, I started noticing things I probably never noticed prior to this moment and should not have even caught my gaze and attention in the first place. My member rose up like a mighty giant warrior ready for battle walking to the war beats made by my fragile heart which suddenly felt so hard and tough. My blood ran like an army, each soldier to his post of duty. I knew she wanted me as well but at this point I had to choose.

Two voices, sounding so similar yet distinct with different instructions. What would you do if you were in my shoes?

One told me that my feelings were cool and I should grab this opportunity which would probably not present itself again, the second told me, hey, hold that thought, check that feeling, who do you see?

Hmmmm, the first asked what do you see? The second asked who do you see?

Lust blinds us so hard, there is not even a tiny speck of space to see. It creates so much darkness it seems impossible for light to come in. But why do we always fall prey to such a creepy animal that could destroy us? Here is what I have come to understand; it satisfies our flesh at that instant and that exact moment. Now, what happens afterwards? Well, I feel you can answer that.

Love on the other hand makes us see clearly what we would ordinarily not see. It makes us see so much, everyone thinks we are crazy. Well, we just might be crazy in Love. Hold on now, not the world’s definition of love which is otherwise called Lust, but true Love that sees beyond what to who.

While Lust is always thinking of self-satisfaction, Love thinks of what can I do to help?

While Lust is always thinking of what it can get, Love is always about what it can give

While Lust leads to death and destruction, Love leads to life.

Don’t get me wrong, it is always a tough choice to make. One that would be made clearer and easier if you only had 5 minutes to think about the 5 minutes, 5 hours, 5 days, 5 months, 5 years and eternity effect of the choice you are about to make.

Now you may think it really doesn’t matter, as long as you get what you want. But what you do not realize is that there is so much Lust hides from you. It hides from you the good in that person, the true beauty that lies within, the amazing personality and nature you could benefit from if only you would give Love first.

Love would prefer to preserve one’s life, purpose, destiny and dignity over self-pleasure.

Lust will give you what will cost you while Love will cost you but pays you back a hundred fold more.

I choose Love over Lust

I choose to see the good in people over what I can get from them

I choose to see the true beauty that lies inside over attractive packages outside

I choose Love that will eventually pay over Lust that will eventually cost me.
