31 Days With The Anchor – Day 23

Topic: My personal experience with the anchor

Meditate: Romans 8:39

“Nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Every time I read this verse, it just fills me with so much joy, I want to scream and shout. It reassures me over and over again of the eternal security of the anchor’s love. It reminds me I am always loved by him regardless of what I do or don’t do. I’m assured that nothing at all could make me separated or forsaken by his love.

This love helps me remain strong even in tough situations, this love helps me to hold on to my faith even in stormy seas. This love shed abroad in my heart helps me to be the light he has created me to be with others. His love for me is a reminder that no matter what, all things work together for my good, that lines are fallen into pleasant places for me always.

Sometimes I’m clueless as to how I’m going to get to where he’s prepared for me but in times like that, I’m reminded that he’s got my back, leading and guiding me. I’m reminded that he loves me and has the perfect will for my life, thinking thoughts of peace and not of evil to give me an expected end.

His love has helped me trust, his love has helped me hold on, seeing him aligning every little detail of my life, the good and the seemingly bad, to fit his perfect plan. His love has made me see that regardless of what happens, the real deal is that his name is glorified in my life.

The most beautiful part of it all?  He doesn’t love you any less than he does me.

Task for the day:

Recount an experience where you were reassured of the anchor’s love.
