31 Days With The Anchor – Day 22

Topic: The Anchor’s Heart

Meditate: “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”
Ephesians 3:17‭-‬19

This one is for those who have had it rough.
Those who have made mistakes.
Those who have been victims of wrong choices
Those who feel for whatever reason, they are not worthy of love.

For some reason, I find myself sometimes feeling unworthy and there’s this guilt trip and often love-doubt. At these moments, I find it hard to convince myself of being worthy of any good and fear of being considered unworthy by another person causes me to let go faster than I held on.

If it’s often hard to regard myself deserving of a man’s love that comes with a condition, you can guess how difficult it is for me to believe in a love so good, a love that is without condition, a love that is boundless. The love of Jesus.

“Maybe I can earn it” I sometimes think and I take laws and rules and regulations and make straight lines to walk by so I can be deserving of the love of Jesus but who can earn this love?
How can I know a love that passeth understanding?
How can I understand the depth and height of The Anchor’s love?

Just maybe we don’t have to because we can’t. We have to stop trying to understand and start accepting it.

This is the heart of the Anchor, loving us though we are not deserving, holding us even when we let go, sticking to us when we walk out on Him, working the storms to calm and in the midst of everything(good or bad) working it for our good.

This is my confession every time and I hope it becomes yours too;

Psalms 36:7- “How precious is your unfailing love, O God!”

DeAltar

Every man has a purpose in life. Ours is to help people discover, rediscover and fulfill their purpose. We believe that the young generation are the building blocks and foundation of the next new thing the world is about to experience.
