#31DaysWithTheAnchor – Day 17

Topic: In times of weakness: The strength of the Anchor

Meditate: 2 Corinthians 12:9- “but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.

We would not need any support if we were strong by ourselves. We would not need any assistance if we could handle everything by ourselves. Our lives would be so much better when we had it all under control but the story is always different because the spontaneous and unprecedented nature of our world makes our lives quite unstable but The anchor is our guarantee for stability and safety, He is our lifeline.

Pauls affirmation about this still blows my mind,

‘but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.’

For every time we face a problem
For every challenge that stands tall before us
For every fear that destabilizes us
For every question that heightens doubt
For every issue that shames us
For every pressure that confuses us
For every battle that knocks us out
For every storm that scares the life out of us
For every time we have had to wait
For every denial that felt like a rejection
For every silence that felt like abandonment
For every weakness, The strength of the anchor is manifest.

When we feel the worst, when we feel incapable to handle anything, when we lose a hold of the wheel because of the overwhelming magnitude of the waves, we are never stranded because The Anchor rises and manifests strong. Again today, cast all your cares on God, this Anchor holds!

Task for the day:

Surrender all of your weakness to The Anchor and watch the glorious manifestation of His strength in your life.

DeAltar

Every man has a purpose in life. Ours is to help people discover, rediscover and fulfill their purpose. We believe that the young generation are the building blocks and foundation of the next new thing the world is about to experience.
