LEARNING THE ART AND ACT OF TRUSTING GOD

LEARNING THE ART AND ACT OF TRUSTING GOD

One might say, “It is one thing to know there is a Big Man up there who loves me a lot, watching over me every day but it is another thing – a whole new level – to actually trust Him”.

But what exactly is TRUST?

I would define trust as complete belief and confidence in something or someone.

What then is the act of trusting God?

Well, it’s simply casting ALL your cares upon him knowing he cares for you.

The art of trusting God then?

Jeremiah 17:7-8 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.

Did you see that? The beauty in trusting God is that you lack nothing, absolutely NOTHING! Read again, it said “he is like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river.”

Imagine that for a minute; picture an island or a beach now, picture the trees, palm and the likes planted all around it, will such trees suffer when there is a drought? Of course not! Its rest assured its needs are covered. Likewise, when we actually learn to trust in God, we are rest assured we are well secured regardless of whatever happens

You know the most interesting part? This art is pretty easy to master, nothing difficult. All we have to do is stated clearly in one of my favorite verses of the Bible;

Phillipians 4:6-7 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Dear friend, just take His hand, He is willing to truly be your shield and strength in everything.

Always remember You Are NEVER Alone.
