Trust
When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
This has been the major lesson for the year 2016 for me.
On one particular occasion, I was walking down a particular road which happened to be really rough and sloppy. There were ditches, stones, broken blocks and so on capable of injuring anyone who walks blindly. Yet on this same road, He asked me to keep walking while looking up into the sky. Truth be told, that was close to impossible. Considering the difficulty in manoeuvring my way even with both eyes fixed on the road, having to go through this same part without my eyes fully fixed on where I was going to was definitely going to be anything but possible.
However, I heard within me; “Just Trust Me”. Would you accept to walk through a dark tunnel with nothing but a voice telling you where to go at different points in time?
Here is what a lot of us do not realise; we are walking and living in a dark world where our physical senses can only help us a fraction of a little, not enough to go through to the finish line. Would you trust this untrustworthy senses to lead you through or will you trust the One who has seen it all to see you through?
Well, it seems logical to trust in what you can see rather than that which seems abstract. Well, this is where we all miss it. He is not abstract; He is as real as and much more than even your senses. He that is above and is above all. We all get to points where we do not know what to do anymore, those points where nothing makes sense, where life suddenly becomes a mirage and hope a mere shadow. But those who trust in Him will never be put to shame.
He will lead through the valley of the shadow of death as well as through the still waters. He alone knows where you are going and will most definitely get you there if you decide to walk with Him and trust Him to lead you.
There is no better way to live than living a life of total trust in He who knows all things. He knows and understands the pains you go through and will love to help you.
Trust also involves surrendering your own ideas and ideals to claim a greater one; sticking to One even when it does not seem like what you were looking forward to, calculating or expecting.
Even when you are not sure of where you are going, always remember that He sees what you do not see and He knows where He is taking you to. He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Trust Him and He’ll not disappoint you; He will take you to your destination.
