For Such A Time As This…

A friend of mine recently said to me; “i do not believe in coincidence, I don’t believe anything happens to me by coincidence”. I totally agree with her.

I do not believe anything that happens to us is a mere coincidence. Your being where you are right now reading this article is not a coincidence. There is a reason for it. It is only interpreted as a coincidence when purpose is not known or acknowledged, making coincidence the excuse for not knowing why things happen to us and why they had to happen.

It is very easy to be moved by people and events when you have no idea of why you are at a particular place at a particular time.

Do you realize that it is not a mistake that you are where you are at such a time as this?

Do you realize that it is no mistake that you were born in this century and not the 18th, 15th or other prior centuries?

Do you understand that it is not a mistake that you were born a Nigerian, an African or any other nationality of origin?

Do you know that there is something important you have to offer this generation in this century in whatever community you belong to?

Do you understand that you were placed, positioned, sent to wherever you find yourself right now at such a time as now for a reason?

It is time for you to wake up to your responsibilities. You were created for such a time as this to shine your own light and with each one shining his/her own light, we are creating huge colourful bulb with each light fulfilling different roles fitting into each other and creating a perfect whole that leaves you in awe.

I honestly believe that if a quarter of the world’s population would know why they were created, the world will be a much better and purposeful sphere – a global ball with a definite direction heading towards a collective goal.

However, as long as a vast majority do not know and do not care to know why they were placed where they are, this ball will lack direction and will be heading for nowhere.

A defender brought in at the 80th minute of a football match and a striker brought in at the same time on the same pitch are brought for different reasons. The timing of their introduction is just as vital as their capabilities and their roles which is often better understood by the team coach. Either of them will make a whole world of difference if they understand their different roles on that pitch at that time of introduction.

It matters little whether you start, brought in early or much later. What really matters is that you understand your role at that particular time and you execute perfectly what you have been assigned to do.

Awake from your slumber of ignorance, rise from the bed of irresponsibility unto a new dawn of responsibility. Quit staggering on the influence of self-defeat and start running intoxicated by self-belief.

You were created for such a time as this.

Your light was tailor made for such a time as this.
