Just Trust Dad

Just Trust Dad

Oh what peace we often forfeit

Oh what needless pain we bear

All because we do not carry

Everything to Dad (God) in prayer…

Wow!!! Amazing isn’t it?

Many of us go about worrying about everything there is to worry about. We worry about clothes, food, relationships, the future, our families, academics, what is there not to worry about actually?

We are filled with so much uncertainties that they often times make us look older than we actually are. We would like everything planned for, reasoned out, figured out but we all know that a lot of things hardly turn out the way we plan them and this leaves us in so much frustration. Many of us have gotten tired of life just because we have no idea of what is next for us and nothing seems to work the way we planned it and we keep asking; Why this? Why that? And we just won’t move on till we have gotten answers.

One very beautiful thing I learned from Joyce Meyer is this; Not everything will be clear to us; there are some questions that might be left unanswered or might be answered in a very different way than we expect. For we know in part and we prophesy (permit me to exchange this word for “predict”) in part; but when the perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away and everything will be fully understood and we get to see “why”. It might not just be by your own time table.

Imagine a young child having parents; thinking about how he will take care of himself, worrying about so many things; you would say he is needlessly worried right? Because he has parents that should be thinking about those things for him. Unfortunately, we are like children needlessly worrying about things that should be left in the care of our Father. We forget that His kind of home is Righteousness, Peace and Joy and we willingly forfeit these for a very troubled heart, an overburdened mind, a sick-looking body and a weak spirit.

“Trust God (Dad) from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own”. Remember that your Dad is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all you can think, ask or imagine. Never forget that your Dad knows what you need even before you ask. So why are you worried? Make your requests in prayers, supplication and thanksgiving to your Dad. Awesome right?

I know what you might be thinking; it’s not that easy. Well, every human including me will jump into that conclusion but I have learned that we make things hard for ourselves. A young lady called Martha was in the same position you are right now (maybe not literally); she was overburdened with the pressure of having to cater for her visitors. It was just too much for her (sounds familiar?); she would never be able to do it on her own (remember when that thought crossed your mind?). She was so engrossed in her challenges that she totally forgot about what was more important. So tell me, which is more important? The surrounding raging storm or Dad in the midst of the storm with you?

I have had my own share of worries and burdens; they made me look sick, I was suffering from depression as a result, at a point I was having to deal with short-term memory loss, identity issues, emotional issues and so on. But I am learning to leave everything to Dad. I can trust Him because He sees the end from the beginning.

So the next time you feel burdened or you are faced with a great storm and uncertainties cloud your mind, Just trust Dad and remember You Are Never Alone!!!

Please share this with someone… Someone needs to read this.
